Meganite to the Power of 3

After two successful summers in Ibiza, Italian superstar DJ Mauro Picotto will be back at the Superclub Privilege to complete his hat trick of mid-week Meganite sessions at the Ibizan institution.

Once again Mauro will be converting the club’s cavernous confines into an intimate haven of hot, sun-drenched electronica, this year with the assistance of two new residents. Misstress Barbara brings her techy, minimal sound to the decks after guest appearances last year. Meanwhile fellow Italian techno-don Marco Carola also joins proceedings, bringing years of experience wowing crowds with his three deck mixing. For Mauro, the night in Ibiza is all about the music, and while sex shows and circuses might be what makes headlines, Meganite is dedicated to presenting quality music in beautiful surroundings. Mauro’s plan to move the club’s sound system from the ceiling down to floor level, in order to create a better aural experience for punters, is the proof. Plans include a ‘floating’ VIP area that will allow people to get up close and personal with the DJs.

This season sees the return of Adam Beyer, Ben Sims, Christian Smith, Phil Kieran, Gabry Fasano, Fergie, Athos, Alexander Kowalski and Riccardo Ferri Live. The Meganite family welcomes a special performance by Italian “butterfly” Francesco Farfa, who brings his love for music universality, plus new guests including Paco Osuna, Anderson Noise, Marco Bailey and extraordinary livesets by Secret Cinema and Alex Under.

This super lineup means that Meganite looks set to be ‘the’ Wednesday night party on the white isle. “I honestly couldn’t pick the best night from last year, because they were all amazing,” he smiles. “I’d be happy to repeat that success, but this year I want even more people talking about Meganite and I think I’ve got the perfect team to help make that happen. I’ve also got a couple of big surprises planned, but you’ll just have to wait and see what will happen…”
